Artist bios:
Grace Leckey is an NYC Queens-based artist, audio engineer, and educator who grew up singing hymns and Americana in a Catholic folk choir. Funded by the New York Foundation for the Arts' Queens Arts Fund, her 2025 sophomore album Hell Gate is a tribute to Astoria Queens and her Irish Catholic roots there. Grace is on staff at Power Station, the historic recording studio in Hell's Kitchen and is a teaching artist with Willie Mae Rock Camp. Follow her at @leckey_charms.
Jessica Gerhardt is a queer, Catholic singer-songwriter from Los Angeles whose style ranges from intimate ukulele-driven folk to anthemic indie rock. Following after Fiona Apple and Alanis Morissette, Jessica writes in the tradition of fiery femme rock artists, but with a distinct spiritual bent, inspired by Sufjan Stevens and Audrey Assad. Having grown up in a Catholic-Jewish mixed-faith family, Jessica was shaped by inclusive notions of religion. This bears out as she lays claim to her spiritual identity in her debut LP, Alight Beyond the Sea, which centers around Psalm 139 and God's presence in sorrow and joy, in darkness and light, and in seeking to live authentically. Jessica writes on occasion for National Catholic Reporter, sells her handmade rosaries and art via her Etsy shop Work of Human Hands, and is a high school theology teacher. Follow her at @jgerhardtmusic.
